Members may also wish to access the resources from the International Centre for Allied Health Evidence (iCAHE). As stated on its home page iCAHE’s mission and work is ‘…to contribute to better health and wellbeing for all through evidence-based allied health care".
iCAHE works locally, nationally and globally to create new knowledge and translate evidence into safe, quality health care. We partner with researchers, clinicians, educators, policy makers, government, industry, professional and consumer groups and the broader community.
iCAHE provides a wide range of tools, services and resources to support health practitioners, service managers, policy makers, consumer representatives and researchers translate evidence into policy and practice’. (International Centre for Allied Health Evidence retrieved 29/11/18 ).
The iCAHE has a number of freely available resources on evidence-based practice (EBP). OTA members might be interested in the EBP short course in the iCAHE’s learning hub. They have also developed a short course in undertaking a literature search.
If you prefer to listen to webinars than work through a self-paced workbook try out the EBP webinars available in the learning library along with webinars on research methodology. iCAHE have plenty of pages to explore on outcome measures and critical appraisal tools. iCAHE has a plethora of resources available for clinicians to access to support their practice and learning.
