OVERVIEW

An introduction to Sensory Approaches

This webinar series is open to Occupational Therapists of all levels.

  • Theoretical underpinnings
  • Evidence base and outcomes achieved in mental health
  • The concept of a ‘sensory lens’

The webinar series will be conducted in a lecture style format focusing on the provision of information and the explanation of key introductory concepts beneficial for building a skill base in this area and providing pre-requisite knowledge for the workshops.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Participants will enhance their knowledge regarding the background to and evidence base of sensory approaches, and gain an understanding of the value and benefits of adopting it into their clinical practice.  The webinar will help participants begin to develop a practical framework on which to build skills and confidence in utilising sensory approaches in their everyday practice.
