The National School of Allied Health spans across the country and is located at these campuses; Melbourne, Canberra, Strathfield, Sydney, Ballarat and Brisbane. The School is responsible for the delivery of education in the following professional disciplines; Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, and Social Work.

As a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy you are expected to make significant contributions to the development and implementation of the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy by providing technical, clinical and industry advice.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching and assessing our undergraduate students, including coordinating professional practice education.
  • Coordinating units within the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.
  • Participating in School, Faculty and University committees and related activities
  • Building effective partnerships by networking with external organisations and communities.
  • Contribute to scholarship of learning and teaching

In addition to maintaining professional competency and National registration, to be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Postgraduate qualifications (Masters or PhD, or equivalent) in occupational therapy or related discipline
  • Eligibility for, and commitment to maintaining professional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and Occupational Therapy Australia Ltd
  • Demonstrated confidence and courage to achieve ACU’s Mission, Vision and Values by connecting the purpose of one’s work to ACU’s Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Occupational therapy practice experience, including knowledge of contemporary and evidence based practice and the ability to demonstrate teaching experience at a tertiary level.

Total remuneration valued to $116,456 - $137,382 pa, including salary component $98,407- $116,186 pa (Academic Classification Level B), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
