RECORDED WEBINAR SUMMARY
ASSERTIVENESS TRAINING (AST1340)
Burnout is a major risk for occupational therapists, and therefore needs to be actively mitigated through a commitment to personal energy management, a resilience mindset, and social support with advocacy.
This webinar will take a deeper dive into the importance of assertive communication in achieving all three burnout prevention strategies. Assertive communication will be understood as a by-product of an assertive mindset and lifestyle, characterised by proactively satisfying values-centred needs and wants while maintaining a healthy respect for the rights of others.
