Angela Tieman

Presenter

Angela is a paediatric occupational therapist and advanced practitioner in sensory integration. Through early intervention, Angela loves helping little ones thrive through sensory assessments, Theraplay, and the Safe and Sound Protocol. Angela is also passionate about supporting other OTs through supervision and sharing what she’s learned along the way. She runs workshops for early childhood educators, bringing a relaxed, practical approach to understanding sensory needs, relationships, and trauma-informed support.

Natalia Mendes

Presenter

Natalia is an experienced Occupational Therapist practicing in community and mental health settings, specialising support caregiver and children of all neuro-types. She takes a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed approach that honours individual strengths, sensory preferences, and unique ways of engaging with the world. Natalia is an Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner and integrates evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, Theraplay, and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga to support regulation, connection, and healing. She also lectures in the Master of Occupational Therapy program at Monash University, mentoring future therapists. Originally from India, Natalia brings a deep passion for creating safe, meaningful spaces where people can reconnect with their bodies.
