SESSION OVERVIEW 

Join us for our next exciting Generative AI workshop, designed for those with a reasonable grasp of Generative AI who want to dive deeper and refine how they can use AI to support their practice. 

This session will provide: 

  • Quick AI Refresher: Brush up on the basics of AI before taking the next step into more sophisticated techniques and uses 
  • Delve into advanced prompt creation and engineering: Master the art of creating and refining prompts to get the most out of AI tools. 
  • Explore Unique AI Tools: Discover tools beyond the usual suspects, like Goblin tools, to expand your AI toolkit. 
  • The how to of enhancing professional tasks: Learn how Generative AI can streamline complex tasks such as voice-to-text, report writing, and client interaction using GPT-4 voice capabilities 
  • Clinical Task Innovation: Delve into practical applications for AI in clinical settings, including generating social stories (consistent character generation) and client resources 
  • Re-cap on Ethical & Effective Use: Get tips on using Generative AI safely and ethically in your practice. 
  • This live, interactive workshop features real-time demonstrations and hands-on examples, making it the perfect opportunity to build on your existing knowledge and elevate your Generative AI skills. 
  • Whether you’ve been using Generative AI for a while or attended one of our previous workshops on getting started with Generative AI, this session will take your expertise to the next level. 

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? 

OTs at any stage of their career who have a reasonable understanding of Generative AI and are keen to continue to grow their knowledge and skills in this area. 

If you are new to Generative AI, then we suggest you enrol in our beginner’s workshop Getting started with Generative AI: A beginner’s guide for OTs on 29th October 2024.

WORKSHOP DETAILS

CPD HOURS

A certificate of attendance will be issued on the completion of the course for 2 hours. 

Please allow 48 hours for your CPD certificate of attendance to be loaded into your CPD Tracker after course completion

ACCESS  

Participants will be able to access the course materials online in their OTA account for the event and for a further 12 weeks after the event. 

All registrants will be provided with access to an online account via an email sent upon registration.

Jess Francis

Presenter

Jess has over 12 years occupational therapy experience across a range of private sectors as a clinician and in senior leadership roles and recently completed postgraduate research exploring the use of virtual reality. Jess has been a member of the NSW Divisional Council for over 6 years.

Will Crowe

Presenter

With a significant interest in the intersection between technology and activity participation, Will is an OT whose dominant area of practice involves the prescription of assistive and inclusive technological equipment to assist his clients attain their goals. His area of professional passion lies in facilitating accessible video game engagement with clients living with a range of physical and cognitive disabilities. Will has worked largely in private practice and for not-for-profit organisations as well as lecturing part-time at Flinders University and is an OTA Divisional Council member for SA. Will believes that the rapidly growing potential applications for AI are something to be embraced, with appropriate considerations. It is technology that has the potential to revolutionise not just occupational therapy practice but also the way in which people participate in their everyday lives.
