OTA Leadership meets with MPs
Published: Wednesday 12 March 2025
Ahead of the 2025 Federal Election, OTA has been actively engaging with government ministers, senators, advisors, crossbenchers, and opposition members to advance the calls to action outlined in OTA’s Federal Election Statement.
Over the past fortnight, OTA’s CEO, Samantha Hunter, and Chief OT, Michelle Oliver, met with advisors from the offices of:
- The Hon Michael Sukkar MP – Shadow Minister for Social Services and the NDIS, and Liberal incumbent for the marginal seat of Deakin.
- Senator Lidia Thorpe – Senator for Victoria.
- The Hon Amanda Rishworth MP – Newly appointed Minister for the NDIS and Minister for Social Services.
- Dr Anne Aly MP – Minister for Youth and Early Childhood Education, and Minister Assisting the Minister for the NDIS.
These discussions focused on advancing OTA’s calls to action on disability and foundational supports.
