NDIS Webinars with DSC: Home & Living Supports in NDIS

SESSION OVERVIEW

The sixth webinar in the DSC webinar series in 2024 will focus on Home and Living Supports in NDIS.  The webinar is designed to provide you with essential information to support you when assessing, report writing and recommending Home and Living Supports for NDIS participants.  The session emphasis is on understanding they system not on the OT clinical assessment and process. 

This session will cover key topics including: 

  • What are the eligibility criteria for Home & Living Supports: Understand the criteria to support you in your recommendations and report writing 

  • Specialist Disability Accommodation: Learn about the eligibility requirements for specialised housing options and how to evidence the need for this 

  • Evidencing Home & Living Support Needs: Gain insights and tips on how to effectively demonstrate home and living support requests ensuring they are clearly articulated and well evidenced 

  • Applying Reasonable and Necessary Criteria: Understand how to apply reasonable and necessary to your Home and Living Support requests 

You will leave this session with valuable information and practical tips to support you when making NDIS Home and Living Support requests. 

This webinar is provided by DSC who are leaders in the industry when it comes to knowing all about the NDIS. The DSC team is made up of NDIS experts sharing their knowledge, know-how and lived-experience.  Throughout 2024, our webinar series for occupational therapists will provide invaluable insights and practical guidance on navigating the NDIS landscape effectively from a system perspective.

  Dr. Kylie Morgan

Kylie Morgan is part of the DSC team.  She is known as a NDIS brainiac and is doubly brainiac-y on all things NDIS mental health. Kylie has over 15 years experience working in the mental health, disability and aged care sectors. She has extensive experience designing, implementing and evaluating mental health programs. Kylie brings her experience as a career of her brother-in-law to her work. Additionally, through her work, Kylie has developed advanced skills in the management and development of staff, program design and establishment, stakeholder and consumer engagement, and budget management.
