OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY - FOUNDATIONS AND MODELS 

This two-part webinar series focuses on Occupational Therapy foundations and models. The webinars will be of benefit to all occupational therapists (new graduates and experienced staff). They will provide an overview of their theoretical and founding principles, and examples of practical implementation. The webinars aim to reinforce and extend Occupational Therapists’ occupation focussed, person-centred practice and provide a guide to models that students are learning and new graduates will be applying.

PRESENTERS

ACU lecturers from Melbourne and Sydney campuses collaboration with OTA to present this webinar series.

Alexandra Logan
Alexandra 
is an occupational therapist with a professional practice background in mental health practice. Her role includes National Lecturer in Charge for Mental Health and Recovery and Foundational occupational therapy theory specific units.

Claire Lynch
Claire 
is an occupational therapist with a professional practice background in community health and acute care. She has completed her Professional Doctorate on the conceptions of occupational therapists in addressing sexuality from an occupational perspective.

Margaret Wallen
Margaret is senior lecturer and course coordinator for occupational therapy at the Australian Catholic University, Honorary Research Fellow at Cerebral Palsy Alliance and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney.  She has a strong interest in paediatric research, outcome measurement and evidence based practice.

Melissa Aguery- Zinsou
Melissa is an occupational therapist with over fifteen years' experience working in mental health in Australia and the UK.  Melissa has worked with adults, adolescents and older adults in various mental health settings, including intensive care, acute inpatient, community rehabilitation and recovery college.
