Program Overview
RECORDED WEBINAR SUMMARY
This OTA recorded webinar is the first in a series that will provide an overview of Tina Champagne’s Sensory Modulation Program Components. This first webinar explores the Sensory Modulation Program Component 1: Therapeutic Use of Self and Assessment. Explore how the concept of the therapeutic use of self is enhanced by the knowledge of the sensory systems, social engagement system, and how to apply the therapeutic use of self to enable the collaborative occupational therapy assessment process.
Comprehensive occupational therapy assessment requires effectiveness in the therapeutic use of self, which includes exploring occupational and sensory modulation-related strengths and challenges. The assessment process affords the ability to better understand the needs of each person and more effectively offer individualized and specific sensory modulation-related strategies, supporting occupational participation.
