Program Overview

Amid frequent system changes, workforce shortages, rising service demands, administrative pressures, and moral injury, many OTs are struggling to maintain their passion and sense of purpose, placing them at risk of burnout and career attrition.

This session with Toni Knight is designed to help you navigate these challenges, reconnect with the meaning in your work, why you became an occupational therapist and develop strategies to maintain hope, resilience, and long-term career satisfaction

What You Will Learn:

In this interactive session, you will learn:

  • Strategies to manage the emotional weight of systems you can’t control, reducing stress, burnout, and moral injury.
  • Tools for preserving meaning and purpose in your work, even when administrative and funding pressures feel as though they are dominating your work
  • Approaches you can use to create and maintain supportive professional networks, mentors, and peer connections.
  • Ways to set boundaries, prioritise self-care, and build resilience to sustain your career long-term.

CPD HOURS:
Total CPD claimable workshop hours: 1.5 hours
Please allow 48 hours for your CPD Certificate to be loaded in your CPD Tracker after course completion.

 

ACCESS:

This session will be recorded.  A link to the recording will be provided following the event completion. Attendance at the live event is encouraged to optimise learning.

Participants will be able to access the course materials online in their OTA account for the event and for a further 12 weeks after the event

Toni is a psychotherapist, author and presenter who specialises in anxiety, burnout, compassion fatigue and trauma. She has a degree in psychology, a lively private practice in Newcastle, NSW and 20 years of experience helping people to live values-centred lives. She regularly consults with private practices of professional caregivers and regularly collaborates with Occupational Therapy Australia. Toni believes that professional caregiving is of utmost importance to our community and our nation. She feels that it is therefore imperative that we value the health and wellbeing of the people that perform this vital work.
