OVERVIEW
This Interest Group (IG) is open to all OTA members working in or with an interest in the area of mental health. The aims of the group include:
• To provide opportunities for networking, professional development and education.
• To educate, provide support, and create a safe space to discuss clinical practice (research and evidence-based practice, innovative OT practice, lived experience).

Dr. Melissa Aguey Zinsou
Presenter
Melissa is a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney. Melissa has extensive experience working as an occupational therapist in mental health services in Queensland, NSW and the UK. Melissa has worked with a range of age groups from adolescents to older adults in a variety of settings spanning community to intensive care, and in clinical and leadership roles including rehabilitation coordinator, Strengths Model trainer and Recovery College clinical educator. Melissa's PhD research focused on supporting young people experiencing psychosis to achieve their goals for employment and future careers. Melissa’s research endeavours to transform services to be recovery and participation focused; as well as co-designed with individuals, families and communities who access services, to best meet their needs.
