The Supporting People with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Their Families self-paced learning package provides you, the user, with content that has been created for you and connects you to other valuable sources of information in the form of websites, web-lectures, journal materials and information sharing sites such as YouTube.

Every resource has been selected to enhance your capacity to provide evidence-based practice and informed occupational therapy services for people with ASD and their families.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

This online learning program provides the tools for occupational therapists to deliver evidence-based interventions for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.

Module 1: Understanding ASD in the Context of Health and Disability 

Module 2: OT Frameworks and Contexts for ASD Assessment and Intervention

Module 3: Making and Autism Diagnosis

Module 4: OT Assessment Tools and Approaches 

Module 5: Goal Setting

Module 6: Intervention 

Module 7: Outcome Measurement 

WEBINAR DETAILS

CPD HOURS: 

As this is a self-paced course the hours it takes to complete will vary from person to person. On average it is anticipated it will take you between 15 to 20 hours to complete.

Certificates will be available once you have completed the course (including the feedback section).

ACCESS:
This resource is run through our external learning platform. All registrants will receive an email containing information on how to set up their online course account and/ or a  notification that a course has been allocated to them. Please be sure to check all email folders including junk and clutter. 

All registrants will have 12 weeks to complete this course.
