OVERVIEW
This Interest Group (IG) is open to all OTA members working in or with an interest in occupational therapy in schools. The aims of the group include:
- To network with other OTs across Australia who provide occupational therapy services in school settings
- To identify key issues that OTs face and to problem solve solutions
- To review evidence based practice in relation to occupational therapy in schools
- To share information and resources

Dr Kayla Ball
Clinical Psychologist
Dr Kayla Ball is a Clinical Psychologist with a special interest in child and adolescent psychology. With over 16 years of experience, she has worked across a range of settings, including child development, autism assessment and differential diagnosis, and supporting children and young people with complex needs. She has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams and collaborating across education and health services to improve outcomes for children and families. Dr Ball currently serves as Director of Allied Health in ACT Education.

Maddison Wallace
Presenter (Occupational Therapist)
Maddison Wallace is an Occupational Therapist with a special interest in supporting children and young people with intellectual disability and complex support needs. With eight years of experience working exclusively in paediatrics, predominantly in education-based settings, she has developed expertise in school-based practice, multidisciplinary collaboration, and supporting meaningful participation in learning. Maddison has extensive experience working alongside educators, allied health professionals, students and families to improve outcomes for children with diverse needs. Maddison’s current position is the Allied Health Executive at Cranleigh Specialist School in Canberra.
