Program Overview
Practice Essentials: Working with people with pain – Module 3 explores a range of therapeutic strategies and how to integrate these strategies to support regulation, re-engagement and occupational performance, while remaining responsive to the dynamic nature of pain.
The Practice Essentials program is specifically crafted to lay the groundwork for occupational therapists embarking on their careers in this area, or for experienced OTs seeking to upskill, transition into this dynamic practice area or are returning to practice after a break.
Module 3 will help you to meet people where they are in their pain experience, developing an understanding of the factors that influence their response to pain and their capacity for meaningful engagement.
It will deepen your awareness of how pain affects social roles and relationships, and how therapeutic strategies can foster reconnection and belonging.
