Dr Karen Jacobs presents a two-day interactive workshop exploring the integration of AI in occupational therapy, covering AI-enhanced assessment tools, predictive analytics, therapeutic interventions, and research methodologies. Participants will also learn about data privacy regulations and strategies for leading AI adoption in healthcare through expert-led discussions and collaborative projects.

KAREN JACOBS TOUR: TRANSFORMING OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY THROUGH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE 

Experience a two-day master workshop that explores optimising the intersection of artificial intelligence and occupational therapy practice. This interactive workshop bridges the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and practical clinical applications, empowering practitioners to lead the next wave of healthcare innovation. Through immersive learning experiences, participants will learn about AI-enhanced assessment tools, predictive analytics, therapeutic interventions and AI research methodologies that are reshaping client outcomes. The workshop will also cover data privacy regulations in Australia, and strategies for leading AI integration in healthcare settings. Through collaborative projects and expert-led discussions, attendees will gain the knowledge and skills to become AI champions in their practice and contribute to the future of tech-enabled occupational therapy. 

Learning Objectives: 

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  1. Analyse and critique current research on AI applications in occupational therapy and related healthcare fields. 
  2. Demonstrate proficiency in using at least two advanced AI-powered tools relevant to occupational therapy practice. 
  3. Design a framework for implementing AI technologies in clinical settings, considering Australian healthcare regulations and data privacy laws. 
  4. Evaluate the impact of AI on client outcomes using evidence-based methods and metrics. 
  5. Develop a strategy for continuous learning and adaptation to emerging AI technologies in occupational therapy. 
  6. Create an action plan for leading AI integration initiatives within their professional practice or organisation. 
  7. Identify potential areas for AI-driven research and innovation in occupational therapy specific to the Australian healthcare context.

Registration commences at 8:30 am on the first day. 
Both day workshop will be from 9am – 5:00pm  

CPD HOURS

A certificate of attendance will be issued on the completion of the course for 12 hours.
