This session is offered by WorkPlacePLUS, OTA’s workplace relations partner. This session is exclusively for members and student/ new graduate only and being offered for free as part of membership.
This session will explore employer and employee rights and obligations regarding:
- The different types of leave and how they accrue
- Minimum requirements and exclusions
- The practice’s leave management policy (including mandatory closure times)
- Requesting leave and giving notice
- Options for managing excessive annual leave balances
- Alternatives to leave, cashing out, and final pay
There will be opportunity for questions in dedicated Q&A time.

PRESENTER
Anna Pannuzzo
Anna Pannuzzo is the founding director of WorkPlacePLUS, OTA’s workplace relations partner and preferred HR/IR provider.
With over 25 years of senior HR management experience, Anna is degree qualified and a certified professional member of several highly regarded industry associations, including the Australian HR Institute and the Australasian Association of Workplace Investigators. Her knowledge, expertise and straight-talking approach supports OTA members to overcome a wide range of complex workplace issues.
Anna presents regularly to private practice groups at allied health industry events and has also been interviewed on ABC Radio National’s “This Working Life” program. Anna’s nursing background provides a unique insight into the HR challenges facing many employers.
