Workshop Overview
This full-day, in-person workshop is designed specifically for Occupational Therapy business owners who are ready to take a more strategic, confident, and future-focused approach to their teams. Whether they’re hiring their first employee or building a small but mighty workforce, attendees will walk away with clarity, capability, and practical steps they can implement immediately.
Key Outcomes of the Day:
- Build a team people want to join – and stay with.
Unpack the numbers, messaging, systems, and leadership behind exceptional recruitment and retention – giving OT business owners practical tools to become employers of choice. - Lead a team that’s inspired to stay.
Explore how to lead with purpose, communicate vision, and implement a structured 52-week retention plan – shifting from hope to strategy, and from scattered efforts to systemised actions that build loyalty, growth and connection. - Shape a culture that people believe in.
Deep dive into defining, measuring, and sustaining a values-driven culture – aligning leadership, recruitment, and daily operations to create a workplace where people thrive and choose to stay.
This workshop is practical, interactive, and deeply aligned to the current realities of the Allied Health sector.
Participants will work through real examples and their own business scenarios using a variety of adult learning strategies, including:
- Micro-project work
- Small group collaboration
- Hot seat coaching
- Guided reflection
- Prioritisation and planning frameworks
By the end of the day, each attendee will leave with key decisions made, tools in hand, and a shortlist of high-impact actions to take back to their business.
To extend the impact of this workshop and support real-world implementation, there will also be an optional follow up webinar on Thursday 27th November 1:00pm- 2:00pm (AEDT) to ensure learning doesn’t end when the day does – this will provide a further opportunity for participants to stay engaged, focused and supported.
This follow-up session will include:
- Q&A based on what’s surfaced since the workshop
- Accountability prompts to support follow through
- Gentle nudges on prioritisation and momentum
