The Lifetime Support Authority (LSA) provides ongoing treatment, care and support to people who suffer a serious injury from a motor vehicle accident on South Australian roads, under the Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS). Eligible injuries include spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputations, burns, and blindness. The LSA’s role is to provide necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support through a person-centred approach to enable participants to enhance their quality of life.

The LSA will soon be releasing an Expression of Interest (EOI) seeking suitably qualified and experienced Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to undertake Specialised Wheelchair Assessments; and suitably qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists to undertake Home Modification Assessments and Care Needs Assessment. Occupational Therapy providers may elect to respond to one or many of the assessment types.
