OTA Midweek Mingle: Meet and Greet with Sam Hunter

We made the most of members mingling midweek and came away so inspired by your feedback, suggestions and motivations to mingle.

We hope you made some new connections to support the various stages in your careers. A highlight of course was Sam’s address on the progression of OTA and innovative plans for the future. Remember to touch base and we’ll see you at the next event.

Insurance Commission of Western Australia Grant Round

Occupational Therapy Australia and the Occupational Therapy Australia Research Foundation invites Western Australian Occupational Therapists to put forward an application that meets the aims and eligibility requirements for the above mentioned grant.

The research is to:

  • increase the independence and or improve the functional recovery of individuals who have experienced a catastrophic or equivalent injury;
  • reduce the effort for carers and the burden on families, and
  • lowering the costs for the Insurance Commission. 

The lead applicant must a resident in Western Australia and a -registered occupational therapist  Please note applications are due by 24 June 2019. For more details and application process and documents contact Nicole O’Reilly via deputyceo@otaus.com.au or on 03 9415 2900. 


Day in the Life of an OT – Adaptive Equipment – Student Event

Thank you to Chris Bourgault, Joanna Grzech and Bluesky Healthcare for hosting the recent Day in the Life event for students Occupational Therapists. The students were very excited to try the equipment and make new connections.
