Workshop Invitation (ACT): The Framework for Mental Health in Multicultural Australia

Embrace Multicultural Mental Health (the Embrace Project) invites allied health professionals to attend a free workshop on the Framework for Mental Health in Multicultural Australia (the Framework).

The Embrace Project provides a national focus on mental health and suicide prevention for people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.  Mental Health Australia is partnering with the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Council of Australia (FECCA) and the National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA) to deliver the Embrace Project, funded by the Australian Govt Department of Health.

The Framework is a free, nationally available online resource which allows organisations and individual practitioners to evaluate and enhance their cultural responsiveness. It has been mapped against national standards to help you meet your existing requirements, with access to a wide range of support and resources.

The Embrace Project is holding a free workshop to support implementation of the Framework. The workshop will provide an overview of the Framework and explore how it can be tailored to best meet your needs and the needs of your local community.

Canberra, ACT: 26 February, 2020

Workshop runs from 9:30am to 1:30pm including morning tea and lunch, venue TBC
