Member Update - NDIS price freeze announced

Published: Friday 28 June 2024

Today the NDIA’s 2024-25 pricing decision has been issued, keeping therapy prices on hold for the sixth year running.

Despite continuous advocacy on behalf of the profession, Occupational Therapy Australia is outraged to hear that the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has again ignored repeated calls from the disability sector for fairer NDIS prices.

The NDIA has continued to ignore calls from the disability sector to invest in the NDIS to address major financial pressures and ensure service availability for participants and has ignored OTA’s calls for price indexation from 1 July 2024.

We know that this decision will further paralyse our industry and we know that you are already buckling under the pressure of financial costs and skill shortages.

The government needs to do better and we will hold them to account.
