The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing has engaged Health Consult, in partnership with Allied Health Professions Australia and Liquid Interactive, to develop a practical, user-friendly assessment tool to identify the allied health needs of residents in aged care homes.
Call for Expressions of Interest
Expert Group (EG) members should have clinical expertise and experience in aged care services. They should also be able to demonstrate a commitment to multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary practice with other types of allied health professionals, and (ideally) nurses.
One member of each EG will be asked to also take on the role of Chair for their Expert Group. Chairs will also participate in the Project’s Reference Panel.
Each EG will meet virtually, four times over the life of the Project : 2 will be held in late June, 1 in mid-July and 1 in December. Meetings will be for about 2-3 hours each time, with another hour estimated for preparation for each meeting. EG members will also be expected to contribute up to another 10 hours during the Pilot stage of the Project (July-October 2025).
Members of EGs and the RP will be reimbursed for their time up to 24 hours total.
