Hot Topic Event Wrap up: Managing Risk - Confidentiality, Privacy and Record Storage

On 14^th September 2022, over 125 OTs joined this national online event for an engaging and informative session on confidentiality, privacy, consent and record storage.  The session was presented by Tom Ballantyne, Principal Lawyer and Greg Emsley, General Manager of Digital and Technology, both from Maurice Blackburn. 

Legislative frameworks and requirements were presented as well as many practical strategies to support practice.  Cybersecurity was discussed including key considerations for keeping data and records safe. The session prompted many questions and concluded with time dedicated to a facilitated Q&A discussion. 

The feedback from those attending was very positive, with appreciation for the opportunity to gain increased understanding, knowledge and practical information to support their practice.
