NDIS update: PACE system

NDIA has recently confirmed that the rollout of the new PACE computer system and provider portal will commence in November 2023, and progress gradually over the coming months.

From November 2023, new NDIS plans will be developed in the new PACE system.

This applies to participants who have a plan expiring between November 2023 and February 2024 and they:

  • need a new plan that is different to their current plan
  • request a change to their plan that means they need a plan reassessment

Participants may be offered the option to continue their current plan. If they agree, NDIA will continue their plan in the existing computer system and wait to develop their next plan in the PACE system at a later date.

From the end of February 2024, all expiring NDIS plans will progressively transition to the new system.

OTA recently hosted an information session for OTA members on the new PACE system, including presentations from NDIA. View the recording here (available to members only).
