SA OTs secure stronger EBA

A new standalone Allied Health EBA has been endorsed by 80.1% of voters, delivering a 13.5% pay rise and improved conditions for South Australia’s allied health workforce.

OTA worked alongside the OT Advisory Group and the South Australian Health Services Union (HSU) to push for a better outcome for OTs under the new Allied Health Enterprise Agreement.

We wrote to Premier Malinauskas and Minister Picton outlining urgent workforce pressures and their impacts on hospital flow and service quality. We also raised concerns around pay inequity, workforce attrition, and the lack of senior roles - calling for stronger recognition, conditions and career progression for OTs.

This agreement marks a major step forward for the profession and creates a platform to keep improving conditions for Allied Health in South Australia. OTA will continue to work with the South Australian Government to push for better outcomes for OTs, particularly ahead of the upcoming state election.
