This OT Week, bring your team together, grab a cuppa and make time for a special conversation about something at the heart of occupational therapy: participation.

Created especially for the profession, the conversation brings together internationally recognised occupational therapist and participation expert Professor Christine Imms and journalist and disability advocate Zoe Simmons to explore participation, why it matters and the role OTs play in making it possible.

Watch it. Talk about it. Share it. Use the conversation as part of your OT Week morning tea, team meeting or workplace celebration, or take some time to watch and reflect on your own.

The full conversation premieres Thursday 22 October.

Drawing on professional expertise, research and lived experience, Christine and Zoe explore what meaningful participation looks like, why being present is not the same as being involved and how OTs can enable people to participate in the things that matter to them.

Their conversation moves beyond individual interventions to consider participation in families, communities and society, and why participation is such a powerful and unifying idea for occupational therapy.
