This is a group to: 

• Connect OTs nationally who have an interest in assistive technology
• Provide a forum to discuss/share knowledge of innovative and new assistive technologies/equipment available in Australia
• Facilitate networking and sharing of resources
• Provide and promote ongoing professional development to encourage up to date knowledge of the latest research and information on best practice guidelines for assistive technology
• Provide a forum to discuss advice for clinical justification for funding of products.

Sacha Marchant is an Occupational Therapist with more than 30 years experience. She is currently a digital project manager leading Indigo’s Marketplace and E-Commerce team in delivering consumer-led enhancements to the National Equipment Database (NED).

Description: The National Equipment Database aims to connect people to the right assistive products, information and tools to research, select and access the solutions they need. With more than 30,000 assistive technology items, NED is a valuable resource for clinicians and assistive technology users. NED contributes to Indigo’s vision of a community where everyone is able to make genuine and informed decisions on how to live independently. Come along to find out more about the NED database with its recent enhancements of faster smart search, request for quote and third party payment options.
