Policy and Advocacy Veterans Update July

OTA attended the DVA Health Provider Partnership Forum in late June to hear the latest from DVA.  

The Department of Veteran Affairs has introduced a fee increase of 3.5% which will come into effect from 1 July for DVA providers.  

Medcast has been appointed by the Department of Veteran Affairs to deliver training to health professionals in response to an identified need for further veteran health care training for GPs. The initiative is called VETs HeLP. Training is free, available from 1 July via the Medcast platform, and will meet CPD requirements. More information is available here.
