Thanks to our members who took urgent action on Tuesday, calling their Senators to support a Greens’ motion to compel the government to release a report it received from the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) titled A fresh approach to NDIS pricing – Final report.
In response to action by OTA members and others, the Coalition ultimately supported the motion and the Government is now required to release the report by 4.30 today, Thursday 28 August 2025.
The IHACPA review into NDIS pricing was commissioned by Government to provide independent advice on the future policy settings for NDIS Pricing and has the potential to significantly change NDIS pricing in the future. IHACPA consulted with the public on this report, and we deserve to see the final version and the recommendations that the Government was given more than seven months ago. NDIS Participants and Providers deserve transparency and to know what the future of NDIS Pricing will bring.
On Monday in the Senate, Greens Senator Jordon Steele-John used Question Time to highlight the importance of access to occupational therapy for supports for children with developmental delay and autism and called for more commitments from government to guarantee access to appropriate ongoing NDIS supports following the announcement last week of a new Thriving Kids program.
