Gwendoline Sims Memorial Award
Gwendoline Sims Memorial Award
The Gwendoline Sims Memorial Award aimed to provide an occupational therapist with financial support for further self-education and professional growth, either by conducting a relevant study or an investigative project.
Frequency: biennial
Prize: $2,000 and framed certificate
The award was in memory of Gwendoline Sims who was the first occupational therapy graduate in Australia and the inaugural presenter of the Sylvia Docker lecture.
She also served as the Vice-President of the New South Wales Occupational Therapy Association (now OT AUSTRALIA NSW) for many years.
Her contribution at both state and national levels was particularly significant.
