Advocating for additional occupational therapists in South Australian public schools and pre-schools

OTA has urged that the South Australian Government fund the employment of additional occupational therapists in local public schools and preschools.

The Social Development Committee, a committee run by the South Australian Parliament, is currently undertaking an inquiry into a petition for funding to support children and students in public schools and pre-schools in South Australia (petition no. 96 of 2021).

OTA has also urged that funding models for these additional positions support equal access, early intervention and prevention and a multi-disciplinary approach.
