Pricing Framework for Australian Residential Aged Care Services  

The Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) has released its Consultation Paper on the Pricing Framework for Australian Residential Aged Care Services 2025–26. IHACPA is seeking input on the proposed approach, methodology and principles that will support the development of independent residential aged care pricing and costing advice to the Australian Government.  This year, IHACPA is seeking input on the AN-ACC branching structure and funding model, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander specialisation and base care tariffs, homeless specialisation and base care tariffs, residential respite care and the residential aged care pricing principles.  

OTA will liaise with AHPA on the development of a submission. The consultation period is open to the public until 5pm AEST 20 September 2024. Information on making a submission and the consultation paper can be found here.
