In the news: Celebrating World OT Day

To recognise World OT Day today (27 October), the Bendigo Advertiser has published an article shining a light on the invaluable work performed by occupational therapists and the positive impact they have on communities.

Meredith Bryan spoke about the care her sons, 17-year-old Will and 10-year-old Flynn, have received from passionate OTs. "It's emotional for me as a mother to see the positive impact the occupational therapists have had on my sons, and the effect my sons are now having and will continue to have on others," she said.

OTA CEO Samantha Hunter spoke about the importance of highlighting the life-changing work of OTs in their communities. "They are a vital link in connecting people with their own communities and yet their work often goes unrecognised, or is not fully understood,” she said.
