SA Judiciary Communications Partner Service Update
The SA Communications Partner Service is intended to provide SAPOL, courts and legal services with the capacity to interview vulnerable South Australians while ensuring they are able to fully participate in legal proceedings. Following a review by SAPOL in conjunction with the Attorney General’s Department, the new Communication Partner model will be resourced via an upcoming tender process in line with their procurement regulations to engage a single point supplier. OT agencies will no doubt be eligible to pursue the tender process to provide the Communication Partner Service. We note the future model will rely on a ‘user pays’ contract.
OTA wishes to thank the members who registered their interest in this partnership model and undertake the training and service arrangement requirements previously anticipated and encourages them to consider participation in the upcoming tender process via SAPOL.
OTA has copies of the Uniting Communities booklet on their service for background information should members be interested, please contact Miriam Hobson at firstname.lastname@example.org
