Policy and Advocacy Compensation Schemes Update 26 November

WorkSafe Victoria  

OTA met with WorkSafe Victoria to discuss the current fee structure for ADL assessments. OTA will work closely with WorkSafe to provide feedback to inform a review of their fees, service structures, and assessment processes. Additionally, OTA advocated for occupational therapists to issue subsequent Certificates of Capacity. WorkSafe has invited OTA to submit a supporting case for consideration early next year.  

National Return to Work Strategy 2020-2030 

OTA has provided feedback to inform Safe Work Australia’s National Return to Work Strategy 2020-2030. Our submission included a call for national legislative consistency to allow OTs to issue certificates of capacity across all state and territory compensation schemes.
